The heart of my practice is rooted in the search for understanding the self and the workings of the universe. The purpose of my work is to connect the viewer with that part of themselves they don’t yet know, and to create consciousness epiphanies.
To develop my practice is to constantly learn about where people are in their journey of self-knowing, and their beliefs about the nature of reality.

If we consider that we are consciousness expressed in physical matter, then the arrangement of matter arises from consciousness.

The Geometry of Thought is the first in a new series of abstract drawings and is a narrative about the way consciousness informs matter, which in turn manifests into our physical reality. So, the idea is that everything begins with consciousness. In other words our thoughts shape our reality.

This series of four paintings were created after observing the colours and layers of multiple life forms that comprise lichen, existing plentifully on rocks and stones here in Tasmania. Each painting consists of three layers - two on clear acetate and one on paper.
