Abstract Drawings
The Geometry of Thought (2024) . Pastel, conté, graphite on 200gsm Fabriano paper. 220 x 140 cm
The Geometry of Thought is the first in a new series of abstract drawings, and is a narrative about the way consciousness informs matter, which in turn manifests into our physical reality. So, the idea is that everything begins with consciousness. In other words our thoughts shape our reality.
This series brings together concepts generated from my long-term research into understanding what it means to be a sentient being that is essentially held together, and powered by, energy and frequency. We are much more than just our physical bodies - and anyway, what is physical matter but a collection of atoms, which in turn is more than ninety-nine percent ‘empty space’? If we consider that we are consciousness expressed in physical matter, then the arrangement of matter arises from consciousness.
Over time, my work has been deeply influenced by luminaries and pioneer thinkers such as David Bohm, Ervin Laszlo, Rudolf Steiner, Fritjof Capra, Gregg Braden, Nassim Haramein to name a few, as well as lesser known but no less impactful scientists such as Dan A. Davidson and Dr Ibrahim Karim.
